About The Position

The Bill of Materials Specialist oversees the development of bills of materials (BOMs) and their execution within ERP planning and manufacturing systems. The role interfaces with internal teams and co-packers to ensure product requirements are understood. Products include collectible trading cards and non-sports entertainment toys and novelties.

The specialist develops BOMs using Excel templates and/or secondary platforms based on Brand Team product descriptions and notes, and manages assigned product groups from BOM creation through closure. The role coordinates planning operations across Brand Management and Project Management, ensures new items are properly set up in Oracle, and keeps BOMs accurate and on schedule to support RFQs, manufacturing, costing, purchasing, and sales. The specialist also assists the Department Manager with process improvements for product specifications, BOMs, and ERP manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Excellent Excel knowledge and skills, including lookups and data validation.
• Hands-on experience managing complex data with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong teamwork and an ownership mindset.
• Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and determine priorities effectively.
• Strong math background and numerical reasoning skills.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of experience in product planning or manufacturing using BOMs for complex products is preferred.
• Working knowledge of print manufacturing processes and technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop Bills of Material in Excel templates and/or secondary platforms using Brand Team product descriptions and notes.
• Execute and complete Brand requirements from planning through print.
• Communicate across business units to coordinate planning operations between Brand Management and Project Management.
• Ensure new items are properly set up in Oracle and meet timelines throughout development, purchasing, and sales processes.
• Develop product BOMs accurately and on time to support in-system RFQs, manufacturing, and costing.
• Assist the Department Manager in developing process improvements for product specifications, BOMs, and ERP manufacturing processes.
• Manage assigned product groups and maintain system discipline from BOM creation through closure.
