About The Position

Provide planned and emergency services to Watertube, Firetube and auxiliary support equipment. Perform and lead the welding of code and non-code items/structures.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• The ability to pass an ASME certified 6G test
• Basic mechanical and pipefitting skills
• Ability to stay overnight for complex projects and work weekends and after-hours for emergency situations
• Prior Boilermaker experience is strongly preferred
• Daily local travel with up to 50% overnight travel.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds
• Requires climbing, bending, being on your feet for long periods of time, stooping, and working in confined and elevated areas.
• Safe daily driving and infrequent out of town travel will be necessary.
• Able to work in confined and elevated areas.
• Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Function as the lead on core welding projects, for ASME code and standard welds.
• Ability, aptitude and desire to learn complex boiler mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, as well as some combustion tuning & controls.
• Other duties as assigned.
