Boiler Operator
About The Position
This position involves operating and maintaining the boiler plant for a medical campus. Key responsibilities include observing and dispatching maintenance engineers in response to building automation system alarms related to HVAC systems, fire safety systems, emergency generators, and patient care equipment. The operator will also assist the chief with duties concerning hot water boilers across the campus. The current work schedule is a 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM 2/2/3 rotation, which may be subject to change based on staff and management needs, with shifts determined by seniority. Additionally, the role may require responding to emergency repair requests and performing other delegated responsibilities.
Requirements
- East: 2 years of classroom training or 2 years of experience in building maintenance
- West/Central: 1 year classroom training or 1 year experience in building maintenance
- Class 1B boiler operator with the state of MN
Responsibilities
