About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing boiler operations, including checking gauges and systems to prevent malfunctions. The operator will conduct regular testing of pressure, chemical, and water levels to ensure safe operation. They will also identify and fix issues promptly to ensure smooth production processes, operate the kiln to dry poles according to company specifications, and perform minor mechanical maintenance on equipment. Operation of a loader may also be required. The position involves working cooperatively with management and co-workers to achieve all safety, quality, and production goals set for the work environment. Other work-related duties as required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of boiler systems and mechanical components
• Ability to monitor and read gages
• Basic computer knowledge including applications
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Able to work in a team environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Willing to be hands on with physical production
• Must be able to work in all outside weather conditions (wet, hot, cold)
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
