We’re seeking a Boiler Operator who’s ready to be part of an innovative company delivering high-performance building solutions that simplify construction and ensure code compliance.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of boiler systems, how they work, and a thorough knowledge of their various parts is required.
  • Must possess strong technical skills to carry out repairs as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential to effectively interact with other members of the boiler room team, supervisors, customers, and others working near the boiler.
  • Must be able to work well as part of a team, coordinating with others to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the boiler.
  • The ability to use interpersonal skills to effectively interact with co-workers, supervisors, and customers is required.
  • Must be able to manage time wisely to control the boiler's operation time and avoid overloading the system.
  • Strong organizational skills are needed to keep track of the various parts of the boiler system and ensure everything is running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate and maintain boilers, which are large and potentially dangerous pieces of equipment.
  • Monitor boiler systems to ensure they are running properly and producing sufficient steam or hot water.
  • Perform regular maintenance on boilers and other pressure vessels to ensure they run safely and efficiently.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any problems that may arise with the complex boiler equipment. Take corrective action before potential problems cause serious damage.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, maintaining awareness of potential hazards to ensure safe equipment operation and prevent accidents.
  • Operate the boiler in an efficient manner to conserve fuel and minimize emissions.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of the boiler's operating parameters and maintenance history to assist with troubleshooting, identifying trends, and planning for future needs.
