Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited school.
  • Ability to maintain an Ohio Third Class Stationary Engineer License.
  • Ability to follow all safety and environmental standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize based on operational needs.
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills for data entry and operation of control systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude for understanding and working with processing equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, operating boilers or sewer treatment systems, or handling hazardous waste.
  • Experience with SAP and/or DeltaV.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rounds and field quality testing to check process equipment, product quality, and monitor process conditions and control systems.
  • Complete operational tasks and apply basic troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to resolve process deviations and upset conditions.
  • Follow standard work processes, operating procedures, and the Procedure Use Policy of the unit and site.
  • Participate in problem solving and root cause investigations and apply learnings to improve daily work and operating discipline.
  • Support unit performance by monitoring key metrics, recording asset utilization losses, and aligning work with plant and business goals.
  • Develop operator care skills and competencies and apply required operating discipline and safe work practices.
  • Train and support new operating personnel by sharing operating knowledge and best practices.
