About The Position

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking an Boiler Attendant to work in our tomato paste, pizza sauce, salsa, peeled pear canned tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, tomato puree, and tomato sauce production area in Escalon, CA. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality driven. Candidates must be able to work in a team in a fast paced work environment. This position requires individuals on duty alone and/or in charge under the superintendent, supervisor, or head mechanic for the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of all boiler equipment.

Requirements

  • Boiler experience
  • Exceptional math and analytical skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of word processing, database and able to maintain Excel spreadsheets

Nice To Haves

  • At least 5 years of in experience in boiler operations.
  • Knowledge in water chemistry, blow down requirements, daily reporting, computer skills i.e. Microsoft Excel
  • Certification not required.

Responsibilities

  • Remove and roll in boiler tubes (maintenance only).
  • Make water analyses.
  • Make stack gas analyses
  • Requisition boiler room parts and supplies.
  • Operate and maintain water softening and water treatment equip.
  • Responsibility for work layout, and general direction and assignment of boiler room attendants.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • May repair or replace steam and water valves throughout the plant.
  • May be on night call.
  • May be required to have license to operate the boilers
  • May do repairing in spare time, of cannery equipment.
