About The Position

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a Boiler Attendant for their production area in Escalon, CA. This role is crucial for the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all boiler equipment. The ideal candidate will be safety and quality-driven, capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position requires individuals to be on duty alone and/or in charge under the superintendent, supervisor, or head mechanic.

Requirements

  • Boiler experience.
  • Working knowledge of word processing, database, and ability to maintain Excel spreadsheets.
  • Exceptional math and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 5 years of experience in boiler operations.
  • Knowledge in water chemistry, blow down requirements, daily reporting.
  • Computer skills i.e. Microsoft Excel.
  • Certification not required.
  • May be required to have license to operate the boilers.
  • May do repairing in spare time, of cannery equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Remove and roll in boiler tubes (maintenance only).
  • Make water analyses.
  • Make stack gas analyses.
  • Requisition boiler room parts and supplies.
  • Operate and maintain water softening and water treatment equipment.
  • Responsibility for work layout, and general direction and assignment of boiler room attendants.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Repair or replace steam and water valves throughout the plant.
  • Be on night call.
  • Perform boiler operations and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory records.
