About The Position

As a Body Shop Estimator, you’ll be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, writing comprehensive repair estimates, and serving as the key point of contact between customers, insurance companies, and the repair team. Your accuracy and communication skills will directly impact cycle time, customer satisfaction, and overall shop performance. Requirements

  • Previous body shop estimating experience required (dealership or DRP experience preferred)
  • Proficiency with estimating systems
  • Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, parts, and labor procedures
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with insurance companies
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple repair files
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to move vehicles as needed
  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Inspect damaged vehicles and create accurate, detailed repair estimates
  • Use estimating software to document repair procedures, parts, and labor requirements
  • Communicate with customers to explain repair processes, timelines, and expectations
  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters to negotiate and finalize repair costs
  • Monitor repair progress and update estimates as needed throughout the repair process
  • Work closely with technicians, parts, and management to ensure efficient workflow
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and dealership quality standards
  • Manage multiple repair orders while maintaining organization and attention to detail
  • Follow up with customers and insurance companies to provide updates and ensure satisfaction
  • Identify additional damage and document supplements promptly and accurately
  • Maintain compliance with dealership, manufacturer, and insurance guidelines
