About The Position

Lindsay Collision Center in Springfield is seeking a Body Shop Estimator. Customer service is a top priority, and the goal is to turn a difficult situation around for customers. The role involves greeting customers, assessing their needs, and understanding the difficulty of their situation. You will work with customers to complete accurate estimates according to manufacturer procedures, educate them on necessary repairs, and discuss potential differences in their insurance coverage. The Body Shop Estimator will manage the entire repair process from initial greeting, handling communications, overseeing multiple repair stages, keeping the customer updated, and performing quality control through to final delivery.

Requirements

Will train the right person!
Body Shop experience is preferred
Estimator experience is a plus
Valid Driver’s license
Positive attitude and attention to detail
Organizational skills, basic computer and office skills
Must have excellent phone and people skills

Responsibilities

Schedules appointments with customer
Works with customer and Body Shop Technician and Production Manager to identify required repair work
Offers additional services and repairs
Computes cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by customer
Dispatches and maintains an organized workload
Enters itemized estimate on repair order and explains estimate to customer
Keeps customer informed and updated throughout the repairs
Maintains Customer Satisfaction score at or above designated standards
Must be familiar with and able to adhere to various insurance guidelines
