About The Position

The Body Shop Estimator position interacts with customers to evaluate vehicle collision and repair needs, to offer additional needed services and to estimate the repair. The Body Shop Estimator position is responsible for a high level of customer interaction as well as coordinating repair order completion with the service technicians and parts department.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s Licenses with acceptable driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening.
  • Authorization to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Greet each customer in the process of getting a vehicle repaired; Make every effort to make a customer or potential customer feel comfortable and welcome during the sales and estimate process or whenever visiting the shop.
  • Estimate repairs by evaluating body damage, developing estimates, and preparing work orders.
  • Deliver estimates, obtain work authorizations, and deliver repair orders, supplements, and warranties.
  • Thoroughly document repair process; prepare all damage reports in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Communicate repair needs to customer and explain timelines and estimates.
  • Communicate customer expectations to shop and update customers on repairs in process.
  • Follow up after repairs are complete, ensuring customers are satisfied.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with other internal departments, insurance adjusters, and customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Review the completed vehicle to check quality and thoroughness.
  • Understand, keep informed of, and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know.
  • Ensure body shop employees are following established safety protocols; ensure shop equipment in proper working condition; immediate reporting of safety incidents.
  • Meet customer service standards by achieving ‘above district’ customer service information “CSI” scores.
  • Safeguard dealership assets and customer data.
  • Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.
  • Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive group brand.
  • Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
