About The Position

The Parts Lead role maintains and controls boat, motor, trailer and ATV parts inventory, assists and trains support staff and assists external and internal customers with purchases of or questions regarding parts. This role supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. The Parts Lead will assist with training of parts support positions (CSR, Service Writer, Warranty Clerk etc.) and supervise work performed by parts support positions. They will receive inquiries from customers requesting retail parts, price quotes or general information either by phone or at the parts counter, and research these inquiries using Internet sites, manufacturer contact or on-site reference materials. The Parts Lead performs part sales transactions either on the phone or at the parts counter, safeguards funds received and performs till reconciliation procedures on a daily basis. They create purchase orders to buy parts needed for stock, customer or work order requirements and forward orders to the appropriate vendor. Upon receipt of parts, they check shipping documents versus merchandise/quantities received for accuracy and perform data entry of parts received into the IDS inventory tracking system. They place merchandise received in designated locations for easy retrieval, and verify and validate receipt of payment in full before special order parts are shipped. The Parts Lead issues parts to technicians and riggers as per work order requirements, then subsequently enters those parts issued on the work order in IDS to track parts inventory. They verify and complete refund transactions on returned parts or cancellations, and ensure returned and warranty parts are sent back to the appropriate vendor and credit is received. The Parts Lead prepares for and conducts required parts inventories as per established schedules, and reports and reconciles any inventory shortages or parts variances resulting from physical inventory. They perform daily and weekly reporting per SOP. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School education or equivalent experience
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts or percentages and make change to customers
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
Good phone etiquette
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
Ability to operate computer and perform data entry functions
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to stand for extended periods
