About The Position

The Boat Division Personal Property Custodian is responsible for managing and maintaining accountability of all equipment, assets, and consumables assigned to the Boat Division within LOGSUPPU-2. This role ensures accurate tracking, documentation, and inventory of property to support Naval Special Warfare operational readiness. The position directly impacts mission success by ensuring assets are properly issued, tracked, and accounted for in accordance with Department of Defense standards and command requirements.

Requirements

  • US Citizen
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance
  • Minimum three (3) years of inventory management experience within Naval Special Warfare (NSW)
  • Managing capital assets, minor property, and operational consumables (OPCON)
  • Familiarity with SWALIS or Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) or similar inventory systems
  • Experience processing property accountability documentation
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Must accurately input and manage data across systems
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain installation access
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform inventory inspections
  • Ability to lift and move equipment associated with inventory operations
  • Ability to work in warehouse, dockside, or outdoor maritime environments
  • Ability to perform repetitive inventory and documentation tasks
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Process requests and maintain records for issue, turn-in, gain, and loss of property
  • Manage accountability for capital assets, minor property, and operational consumables (OPCON) assigned to the Boat Division
  • Conduct monthly, bi-annual, and annual inventories of equipment in SWALIS/DPAS systems
  • Investigate and process documentation for missing, lost, stolen, or damaged property
  • Ensure compliance with property accountability policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and databases
  • Coordinate with command personnel to ensure proper asset tracking and reporting
