About The Position

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a full-time (40 hours/week) role earning $75,000 annually. This role is vital in empowering people to live their best lives, aligning with the St. Louis Arc's mission. The BCBA will design and implement behavior support plans to enhance adaptive behaviors and decrease challenging behaviors for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This position involves participating in person-centered planning, conducting behavioral assessments, developing training programs for staff and caregivers, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The role requires adherence to professional and regulatory guidelines, including those from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and state requirements.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Behavior Analysis or related field required
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification
  • Current Missouri Licensed Behavior Analyst
  • Two years of experience working with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and the ability to use electronic health records systems
  • Proficiency in analyzing and presenting behavior and productivity data
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applied behavior analysis and modification principles, theories and techniques
  • Knowledge of professional and ethical guidelines and federal and state laws and regulations
  • In-depth knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities and their effect on individual cognitive and behavioral functioning
  • Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Dedication to staying educated on new/novel behavior support techniques and trends
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to teach and break down behavior intervention techniques so they are understandable
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the St. Louis Arc’s Core Values of Respect, Collaboration and Empowerment
  • Follow all Behavior Analyst Certification Board and state requirements regarding supervision and limits
  • Design and implement behavior support plans that enhance adaptive behaviors and decrease challenging behaviors resulting in socially significant consequences for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Participate in person centered planning and/or treatment team meetings to develop, review and update individual plans
  • Observe individual behavior and complete initial behavioral assessments; determine individual’s progress towards goals and modify behavior support plans as needed
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff, caregivers, and family members in the implementation of behavior support plans and intervention tactics and techniques
  • Determine data needs; develop reporting mechanisms for staff use in recording and reporting individual’s behavior
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to assess individual’s behavior, monitor individual’s progress, and adjust behavior plans as needed
  • Prepare reports on individual clients and program activity as required by program, state, and Federal requirements
  • Train primary care givers and/or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT’s) on the implementation of BSPs in accordance with all agency, state, funder, BACB, and Federal requirements.
  • Conduct in-service training and workshops which enhance staff and caregiver understanding and ability to provide active habilitation and effective behavioral programming
  • Provide documentation in accordance with agency, funder, and professional guidelines
  • Demonstrate and support all St. Louis Arc Diversity and Inclusion practices/initiatives
