About The Position

Miller's Health Systems is offering a free training program for individuals interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This program includes classroom instruction and clinical training. Upon successful completion, students must pass the state exam to become a CNA. Miller's Health Systems has been providing compassionate care to Indiana families since 1964 and is a 100% employee-owned company.

Requirements

• Must pass classroom tests with 80% (3 attempts allowed).
• Must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a TB test.
• Must pass a physical.
• Mandatory attendance to all classroom sessions.
• Successful completion of all required skills during clinicals.
• Daily completion and submission of "clinical sign-in record" with required signatures and hours.

Nice To Haves

• Students may be assigned to work with a preceptor for assistance with organization and time management during the practicum.

Responsibilities

• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom work.
• Pass all classroom tests with a score of 80% or higher (up to 3 attempts per test).
• Complete 75 hours of supervised practicum in a long-term care facility.
• Successfully perform all required skills during the practicum.
• Demonstrate and have signed off on all skills checklists (RCPs) by the clinical instructor or other licensed nursing professional.
• Submit completed RCPs and a daily "clinical sign-in record" signed by a qualified licensed professional.
• Pass a criminal background check, TB test, and physical prior to starting the course.
• Attend all mandatory classroom sessions.
• Adhere to the facility's dress code requirements.
