The campus is comprised of a 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital; a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; and a 60,000 square foot medical office building. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or another physical science from an accredited institution required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a hospital Blood Bank or Transfusion Services department preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of blood bank operations, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and laboratory safety practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily operations of the Blood Bank to ensure the delivery of safe, accurate, and timely laboratory services.
  • Supervises technical staff.
  • Monitors testing quality and result reporting.
  • Ensures compliance with all hospital policies, departmental procedures, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Performs routine and specialized blood bank procedures as needed while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and laboratory quality.
  • Supports staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and operational efficiency.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Administrative Director of Laboratory Services and/or the Laboratory Medical Director.
