Blending Operator- 1st Shift
About The Position
Oats Overnight is seeking an experienced blending operator to operate and monitor blending machines, perform product quality checks, maintain accurate production records, and ensure products are properly labeled and packaged. The role includes setting up, operating, and cleaning blending equipment; preparing ingredients according to formulas; transferring finished product; maintaining batch records; and supporting safe, compliant manufacturing operations. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the first shift. The position is based inside an air-conditioned manufacturing and warehouse environment, where the employee will work near food ingredients and may be exposed to food allergens. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific work instructions.
- Experience and desire to support a collaborative culture, share ideas, celebrate successes, and drive positive outcomes with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work near food ingredients and tolerate exposure to food allergens.
- Ability to safely perform the essential job functions consistent with applicable ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.

Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and clean blending equipment.
- Select and weigh ingredients according to formulas using scoops, spoons, or automatic feeders.
- Operate blenders, mixers, agitators, and other machinery to mix ingredients according to formulas.
- Start machinery, monitor its operation, and shut it down when the specified time has elapsed or the process is complete.
- Transfer finished product from the blender to barrels.
- Clean and maintain work areas, machines, and equipment to comply with safety regulations.
- Maintain batch record integrity, enter digital inputs, and adhere to compliance requirements.
- Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure machinery is operating properly.
- Weigh or measure finished products to verify they meet specifications.
- Record operational data on specified forms and submit reports to a supervisor.
- Read and follow production schedules and instructions to determine blend specifications, quantities, and sequence of operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
