About The Position

The Operator - Blending is responsible for blending raw materials according to specified formulas and procedures in a manufacturing environment. The role involves following blending instructions, preparing materials, weighing and mixing chemicals, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety and quality procedures. The operator must work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with the team.

Requirements

Ability to focus and stay on task.
Basic math skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
Adaptability to change.
Willingness to wear safety equipment, including safety glasses, steel toe boots, a respirator, and a dust mask.
Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of manufacturing blending experience.

Responsibilities

Read and follow blending-sheet instructions carefully.
Accurately log lot numbers to maintain traceability.
Identify and retrieve the correct raw materials and prepare the blending area.
Follow company policies and procedures to ensure safety, product integrity, and quality.
Recognize and promptly report safety issues related to products or equipment.
Weigh raw materials according to production orders.
Blend chemicals precisely according to established guidelines.
Work independently with minimal supervision and consistently follow established processes.
Keep blending equipment operational by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and requesting repairs when needed.
Communicate effectively with team members verbally and in writing.
Maintain punctuality and regular attendance according to company policy.
