About The Position

As a Blended Case Manager/Housing Specialist, you'll provide hands-on support to families living at the Sixth Street Shelter. Your day-to-day will include conducting intake assessments, developing individualized service plans, and providing regular case management meetings. You'll offer guidance on budgeting, employment, parenting, and other life skills, while also helping families navigate the transition to permanent housing. This role blends direct client support with operational responsibilities, such as maintaining accurate case notes, collaborating with community partners, coordinating donations, and ensuring shelter procedures are followed. Whether leading resident meetings, advocating for services, or planning enrichment activities, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive environment where families can regain stability and independence.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required

  • A valid driver's license

  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts

Nice To Haves

  • At least two years of experience in case management, social services, or a related field is preferred
  • Applicants with equivalent experience and a strong passion for supporting families in crisis
