Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or at least 1 year of relevant work experience required.
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating equipment such as forklift and skid steer.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Follow all FMCSA and DOT regulations, where applicable.
  • Safe operation of forklifts.
  • Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 55 pounds chest high.
  • Tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of equipment and/or vehicles.
  • Must be able to reach, push, pull, twist, and grasp with arms and hands.
  • Will require fine motor skills and daily standing, twisting, bending, crouching and/or kneeling, sitting, walking, climbing, driving, and transitioning in/out of vehicles.
  • Must be able to talk, hear, and feel attributes of objects or temperatures by touching with the skin.
  • Required to have the visual acuity to safely and legally operate motor vehicles, close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand documents such as safety rules, safety data sheets (SDSs), operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • English language fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending is necessary.
  • Must be able to focus for extended periods of time while performing detailed blending, inventory, and documentation tasks.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply QA/QC requirements, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Must be able to problem solve, prioritize work, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Efficiently navigate a web browser, mobile applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, SharePoint, etc.), and electronic timesheets.
  • A smart phone is required for access to mobile applications.
  • Ability to accurately calculate and record chemical inventory is crucial.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using weight and volume measurements.
  • Be trustworthy, dependable, respectful, and truthful with a commitment to safety and excellent customer service.
  • Follow policies and procedures and take responsibility for your own actions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience in production chemical facility operations preferred.
  • CDL beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Blend production chemicals according to established formulas, procedures, and production schedules
  • Prepare, package, label, and stage finished blended products for shipment or transfer
  • Track raw chemical lot numbers and maintain proper labeling and traceability
  • Collect samples and perform quality control testing and documentation in a timely manner
  • Serve as a cross-functional team member by providing backup support to the Facilities team as operational needs require
  • Assist with inventory management by stocking, organizing, and monitoring raw materials and finished products
  • Safely operate equipment such as pumps, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment
  • Load and unload totes, pallets, trucks, and tankers while adhering to facility SOPs, forklift safety protocols, spill prevention measures, and DOT load securement requirements.
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain equipment
  • Responsible for building and yard maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep
  • Assist with end of day procedures – properly storing equipment and tools, cleaning, closing and locking up the facility, etc.
  • Follow proper hazardous waste disposal procedures
  • Follow Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures in the shop and yard
  • Identify and recommend solutions to safety and security issues
  • Work well independently and as a team
  • Provide excellent customer service
