About The Position

Transco Rail Services is looking for a Blaster to operate blasting equipment to remove rust, scale, paint, and other foreign materials from the interior and exterior of railcars and related equipment. This role is within a TEAM environment where safety is the top priority.

Requirements

Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Ability to lift 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
Ability to work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance.
Able to pass drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

Operate blasting equipment to remove scale, paint, and other foreign substances from inside and/or outside of railcars and other materials.
Prepare surfaces of non-finished railcars and components using various blast media methods.
Perform preventative maintenance procedures for blast and recovery systems.
Keep materials area and other work areas clean and orderly.
Report potential hazards.
