About The Position

The Blaster/Painter performs labor tasks using blasting equipment to prepare company products for painting or coating. The role also involves preparing and mixing paints and applying them to products according to customer specifications. The position may be assigned other duties by a manager or supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• At least 1 year of blasting or painting experience in an industrial setting.
• Basic written and verbal skills.
• Ability to perform work accurately.
• Reliability and good time-management skills.
• New hires must meet Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at the time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen.
• New hires must successfully complete all required training.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-inspections of blasting and painting equipment before operating it.
• Prepare equipment, materials, and the surrounding area before starting blasting or painting activities.
• Blast or paint products according to customer specifications.
• Keep paint, blasting, and other tools in good working order.
• Inspect equipment used, perform minor repairs, and clean equipment and the work area.
• Follow all safety rules and policies.
• Wear all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
