About The Position

The Blaster Operator is responsible for cleaning castings by removing fins, burnt-on sand, and excess metal to meet required specifications, preparing them for customer shipment. This role involves operating overhead and jib cranes, selecting appropriate lifting equipment, assisting with loading/unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean workstation. The position requires reliable attendance, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment, and the capacity to manage time effectively while performing multiple tasks.

Requirements

• Clean castings by removing fins, burnt-on sand, and excess metal per required specifications in preparation for customer shipment.
• Operation of overhead cranes and /or jib cranes (pendant and radio controlled) to place castings at workstation and shipment area.
• Select the appropriate heavy chains and hooks for casting size, shape, and weight.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks, weigh-in trucks as necessary, use scale and record data.
• Clean-up of workstation and surrounding work areas.
• Reliable and consistent attendance
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical, and industrial environment
• Time management through performing multiple operations simultaneously
• Ability to follow work instructions and desire to learn
