About The Position

McCrometer, a Veralto company, is a global leader in flow instrumentation, designing, developing, and manufacturing world-class flow measurement equipment for various industries including oil and gas, agriculture, water and wastewater systems management, and industrial processes. This is an onsite, Day Shift position (Monday through Friday, 6am – 2:30pm PT) in Hemet, CA, part of the Manufacturing & Operations Team. Overtime and weekends may be required. The work environment is indoor industrial with good ventilation, adequate lighting, and low to moderate noise levels. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including Supplied Air Respirator, Half Mask Respirator, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes with metatarsal protection, safety glasses, cooling vest, body harness, head coverings, and sleeves. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Safely operated powered industrial trucks (forklifts).
  • Operate hand tools, hoist/crane, power tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Quality conscious with the ability to meet efficiency goals.
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of ownership and accuracy on all work activities.
  • Ability to work in a positive manner with other associates within cell areas and develop and maintain strong working relationships across teams and subject areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience painting metal parts or components.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, specifications, blueprints, or sketches.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares metal surfaces to receive epoxy coating or paint.
  • Applies coating/paint to a specified standard.
  • Bakes to harden finish or dries/cures parts to specifications.
  • Operates sandblasting machines for removal of scale, flux, corrosion, and dirt from metal parts using abrasives propelled by compressed air through a hose.
  • Operates powered industrial truck (forklift) to load and unload material.
  • Uses hand tools, hoist/crane, power tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Brush paints, spray paints or dips a variety of parts or products in coating vehicles.
  • Bakes coated parts in an oven to preheat workpieces and harden the finish.
  • Dries/cures parts in accordance with specifications.
  • Identifies and reports defective parts.
  • Pre-inspects work area for safety.
  • Observes and follows all safety regulations and company policies.
