About The Position

Audubon is seeking a Blaster / Coater / Painter II to join its team in an offsite office. The role performs painting on equipment, materials, and structures. The position involves identifying tools and safety risks, mixing and applying paint and coatings, sandblasting structures, reading blueprints and specifications, and maintaining clean work areas. The employee must work safely at heights and from ladders and scaffolds. The role also supports Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures by working safely, participating in required training and reporting, identifying hazards and unsafe conditions, and complying with safe work practices and applicable regulations.

Requirements

Three years of experience in the construction industry.
Three years of experience as a painter.
Ability to obtain site and safety training certifications required for the project.
Knowledge of construction safety practices.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and HSE guidelines.
Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate and report effectively.
Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently when required.
Ability to motivate, lead, teach, and train others on proper work and safety procedures.
Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
Must pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug testing.
Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements.

Responsibilities

Identify all tools required for assigned tasks.
Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
Identify and mix paint and coatings as required, and sandblast structures.
Use proper techniques, including stroke types, for the paint or coating and the item being painted or coated.
Work safely at heights and from ladders and scaffolds.
Perform housekeeping and clean work areas.
Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
Perform duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety.
Participate in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities.
Identify and report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Follow safe work practices and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
