About The Position

Join Kraft Heinz as a Blast Cooler Product Driver (LTO) in New Ulm, MN. This role is responsible for transporting products into and out of the blast coolers, ensuring proper cooling times and traceability. The position requires operating a forklift in a temperature-controlled environment and working with minimal supervision as part of the Filling Team. Key aspects include tracking materials, adhering to FIFO principles, and following plant production schedules. Communication with various team members and simple mathematical skills are necessary.

Requirements

A valid fork truck license is required.
Simple mathematical skills of addition and subtraction.
Ability to communicate with Palletizer Operator and/or Line Techs.
Ability to lift up to 45# cases/80# pallets infrequently.
Ability to think and act quickly and safely in a congested work area.
Must be able to wear hearing protection.

Responsibilities

Transporting products from the bulk production line into the blast coolers.
Transporting products from the blast cooler to the robots.
Tracking of materials for cooling times based on code dates and times via visual management and the Matrics system (scanning).
Ensuring FIFO is a priority and following plant production schedules.
Working from brief verbal instructions and operating without close supervision.
Actively participating in Green Room Meetings.
Verifying pallets (product number, code date, case integrity, expanded pallet pattern, and pallet ticket).
Scanning product and bay into Matrics system for traceability.
Tagging bays with different code dates/products.
Communicating with production rooms/Palletizers/DHL for changeovers.
Understanding and following the Plant’s Hold procedures.
Getting pallets from dock truck to supply robots.
Putting pallets in the pallet dispenser and slip sheets in the slip sheeter.
Scanning product in and out of Matrics for inventory recordkeeping.
Notifying Palletizer Operator of malfunctioning equipment.
Changing the forklift battery.
Performing lift truck inspections every shift prior to use.
Responsible for department sanitation as needed.
Keeping area clean and following GMP’s.
Cleaning blast cooler area when needed.
Ensuring traceability using Matrics system for product locations, number of cases, and proper ticket on pallet.
Communicating observed defects (open, damaged cases) to the Filling room/Palletizer.
Following FIFO and production schedules for product cooling times to preserve quality.
Following procedures for retaining product traceability through the restack process (Matrics).
Following all safety rules.
Following all guidelines associated with safely operating forklifts.
Using proper LO/TO procedures.
Being constantly aware of heavy forklift traffic.
