About The Position

Join Kraft Heinz as a Blast Cooler Product Driver (LTO) in New Ulm, MN. This role is responsible for transporting products into and out of blast coolers, managing inventory, and ensuring product quality and safety. The position requires operating a forklift in a cold environment and working independently with minimal supervision. You will be part of the Filling Team and participate in Green Room Meetings, utilizing simple mathematical skills and communicating with various production staff.

Requirements

  • A valid fork truck license is required.
  • Must be able to think and act quickly and safely in a congested work area.
  • Light lifting: Be able to lift up to 45# cases/80# pallets infrequently.
  • Must be able to work without close supervision.
  • Simple mathematical skills of addition and subtraction.
  • Communication is expected between Palletizer Operator and/or Line Techs.

Nice To Haves

  • Training for a maximum of 30 days with expected competence after 45 days.

Responsibilities

  • Transporting products from the bulk production line into the blast coolers.
  • Transporting products from the blast cooler to the robots.
  • Tracking of materials for cooling times based on code dates and times via visual management and use of the Matrics system (scanning).
  • Following FIFO and plant production schedules.
  • Verifying pallets for product number, code date, case integrity, pallet pattern, and pallet ticket.
  • Scanning product and bay into Matrics system for traceability.
  • Tagging bays with different code dates/products.
  • Communicating with production rooms/Palletizers/DHL for changeovers.
  • Following the Plant’s Hold procedures.
  • Getting pallets from dock truck to supply robots.
  • Putting pallets in the pallet dispenser and slip sheets in the slip sheeter.
  • Scanning product in and out of Matrics for inventory recordkeeping.
  • Notifying Palletizer Operator of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Changing forklift batteries.
  • Performing lift truck inspections every shift prior to use.
  • Maintaining department sanitation and keeping the area clean.
  • Following GMP’s.
  • Cleaning the blast cooler area as needed.
  • Ensuring traceability using the Matrics system for product locations, case counts, and pallet tickets.
  • Communicating any observed defects (open/damaged cases) to the Filling room/Palletizer.
  • Following FIFO and production schedules pertaining to code dates and product cooling times.
  • Following procedures for retaining product traceability through the restack process (Matrics).
  • Following all safety rules and guidelines for operating forklifts.
  • Using proper Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.
  • Maintaining constant awareness of heavy forklift traffic.
