About The Position

This position is responsible for making precision cuts to carcasses and separating meat from bone to achieve desired carcass yield. The role requires adherence to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. The operator will set up equipment in preparation for startup and ensure the work area is prepared with all needed equipment. Responsibilities also include monitoring the production area for trash and food debris on the floor and performing various other tasks as assigned. Average training time may require 2-3 months.

Requirements

  • Must adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.
  • Responsible for setting up area with all needed equipment.
  • Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor.
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
  • May occasionally be required to lift/carry up to 50lbs.
  • Must be willing and able to complete work cycles in less than 20 seconds.
  • Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods up to 12 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must have been in current position 6 months, for lateral or demotion.
  • Must have less than 4 points - no written warnings in the past 6 mths and no suspensions in the last 12 months.
