About The Position
The Birth Center Assistant (BCA) works within the policies and procedures of the organization and Birthing Center services. The role includes clinical, clerical, and technical activities that assist the unit in providing safe patient care and maintaining a safe environment. The BCA maintains a clean, safe, and clutter-free physical environment and works under the direct supervision of the Birthing Center Registered Nurse. This is a bargaining union position.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Previous patient care experience.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Birthing Center with clinical, clerical, and technical activities that support safe patient care.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and clutter-free physical environment.
- Work under the direct supervision of the Birthing Center Registered Nurse and follow organizational and Birthing Center policies and procedures.
