The BIQ Inspector performs a variety of inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of parts and records findings in the appropriate systems. The role includes first-shift inspection work across machining and assembly, with the number of parts inspected varying by checklist and shift. Machining checks typically range from 5 to 40 parts per shift per person, while assembly checks typically range from 5 to 30 parts per shift per person. For machining, the inspector checks for surface damage, rust, and burrs; interprets print dimensions; measures external and internal diameters; checks flatness, runout, surface finish, threaded-hole fit and function, and depth; records test-lot/NPI dimensional data; verifies part numbers against tags; and enters findings into Digital BIQ. For assembly, the inspector checks paint, component counts and placement, dust caps and covers, foreign debris, rust, bolt presence and torque, yoke position, snap rings, part and arrangement numbers, serial prefixes and tags, packaging, and kit contents. The inspector records findings in Digital BIQ and enters defect information into AQE. Cintal states that it is committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and global team. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is available for eligible and qualified individuals.
