This role involves managing the existing funnel of opportunities to accelerate closure rates, growing sales within the assigned geographic territory (San Francisco, ID, and NV) to meet or exceed targets, and implementing growth-driven programs with distribution channel partners. The Account Manager will build long-term, multi-level relationships with academic institutions, biotechnology, biopharma, healthcare professionals, and distributor representatives. Key activities include creating and maintaining a Territory Sales Business Plan, managing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, accurately forecasting territory sales, and maintaining a strong pipeline. The Account Manager will also provide voice-of-customer feedback to cross-functional teams, manage the selling cycle to close new business, maximize sales efforts through distribution and direct sales, and negotiate pricing and contractual agreements. Prioritizing New Product Introduction (NPI) prospects and acting on marketing-qualified leads are crucial. Maintaining technical knowledge on assigned product lines, company literature, and competitor products, and demonstrating the ability to build an Account Strategy based upon Value Proposition and customer knowledge are also key responsibilities.
