The candidate’s research program should complement and enhance the diverse biomedical research underway in the CCSR. The CCSR is funded by a phase 1 NIH Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) award, and provides research infrastructure, funding, and professional development mentoring for COBRE Research Project Leaders (RPLs) and the larger UNE research community. The candidate will also have the opportunity to take advantage of several competitive internal funding programs supporting new project development. Additional responsibilities include: Participation in team-based delivery of an innovative medical curriculum, and providing academic service to the college, university, and their profession. Facilitate case-based learning. Participate in mentoring and advising activities for medical students.
