The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Critical Care is seeking a full-time Research Services Professional or Research Services Senior Professional to join a research program investigating the mechanistic drivers of pulmonary hypertension (PH) across the lifespan. The successful candidate will contribute to two related lines of investigation: (1) macrophage–extracellular matrix interactions that govern vascular remodeling in PH, and (2) maternal stress signaling pathways that predispose offspring to pulmonary vascular disease. This position offers the opportunity to work across in vivo mouse models, cell/tissue-based assays, and advanced molecular techniques (e.g., flow cytometry, spatial transcriptomics, single-cell sequencing) within a collaborative, translationally oriented lab environment. Responsibilities include performing experiments using mouse models of PH and primary cell culture, as well as flow cytometry, ELISA, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and microscopic analysis. The role also involves maintaining an accurate database, participating in data analysis, and managing project records and protocol organization. Additional responsibilities include developing new lab protocols and, potentially, supervising trainees (students) and training new lab personnel. The ideal candidate is reliable, personable, highly motivated, and organized, with a demonstrated ability to work independently when appropriate. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, diverse, and productive research group. The position is based in the Research Complex 2 building on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
