About The Position

The Biomedical Equipment Technician II (BMET II) inspects, calibrates, maintains, and repairs a broad range of medical devices used in clinical settings. The position calls for mid-level technical skills, troubleshooting ability, and knowledge of medical device regulations and safety standards. The BMET II works closely with clinical staff to support equipment reliability and patient safety and assists with installation and testing of new devices.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or in a similar role; healthcare-setting experience is preferred.
• Strong mid-level technical skills and troubleshooting abilities.
• Understanding of medical device regulations and safety standards.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree.
• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).
• Additional manufacturer certifications or specialized training in specific equipment.
• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
