About The Position
The Biology Lab Manager Student Assistant will support the Biology Lab Manager in managing lab spaces. This role involves tasks such as cleaning, stocking consumables, and conducting inventories. The assistant will also help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Autoclave Room and contribute to various projects throughout the academic year. Key duties include washing dishes and operating the autoclave.
Requirements
- Satisfactory progress toward a degree.
- Satisfactory evaluations in any prior position as a departmental assistant in the Department of Biology.
Nice To Haves
- Students with Federal Work Study in Financial Aid Package preferred.
- Students with Green Dot Certification preferred or willingness to complete certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Biology Lab Manager with lab space management.
- Perform cleaning duties as needed.
- Stock laboratory consumables.
- Perform inventories of lab supplies.
- Assist in keeping the Autoclave Room clean and in order.
- Assist with various projects during the school year.
- Wash dishes.
