About The Position

The Natural Science Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has openings for part time Biology Adjunct Instructors to teach all levels of biology. Classes begin August 2026. The primary responsibilities of these positions are to lesson plan and teach courses, maintain some office hours for mentoring and coaching students, attend faculty success and retention activities, and utilize a learning management system such as Blackboard for communication and feedback. If you can teach at a remote campus, please make note of this on your application and/or cover letter (remote campuses include Carrollton County, Shelby County, Bullitt County and Southwest Campus).

Requirements

  • A master’s degree with at least eighteen graduate hours in the discipline you will be teaching.
  • To teach Anatomy & Physiology at a Kentucky community college, the applicant must have a master’s degree or higher and have taken at least 3 credit hours of a graduate level Anatomy or Physiology course.
  • Attach your Transcript. Applicants will not be considered unless an official transcript or unofficial transcript has been included with the application.
  • Applicants who achieved their master’s degree or PhD in a foreign college must attach a letter from an international credential evaluation service such as WES (World Education Services).
