About The Position

The Biology Department of the School of Sciences and Health Professions at Simmons University is seeking applicants for an adjunct instructor position in the Biology Department to teach Biol 123 Labs in person. This introductory course provides the basis for understanding the nature of human disease caused by microbial pathogens and viral agents. It covers the fundamental principles of cell structure and compares prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells; viral agents; bacterial genetics and antibiotic resistance; the principles of infectious disease, pathogenesis and immune response; the importance of vaccination as a key public health measure; nosocomial infection and hospital infection control. Corequisite: Required BIOL 123L.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree
  • Experience teaching Biology courses
