About The Position

Kilpatrick's Chemistry & Life Sciences Patent Prosecution team seeks either a USPTO-registered Patent Agent or Patent Attorney with strong educational and/or industry experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will possess strong educational and/or industry experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field. We prefer candidates with an advanced degree (MS or PhD) and at least three years of related patent prosecution experience. Given the unique focus of this role, a high level of familiarity and practical experience in both the software and biological fields is highly preferred. Applicants must be highly detail-oriented and possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in technical writing considered a strong plus. Transcripts and writing samples will be requested during the application process. For attorney candidates, this Patent Attorney role is an alternative to traditional partnership-track positions and features a lower billable hour requirement. Admission (or qualification for admission) to the state bar corresponding to the primary office location is required. This position can be based in one of the following KTS offices: Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Houston, TX; Seattle, WA; Raleigh, NC; San Francisco, CA; Silicon Valley, CA; Washington DC; Winston-Salem, NC. Remote / Hybrid candidates may be considered.

Requirements
