About The Position

The Department of Biochemistry and Physiology is seeking a motivated Bioinformatician to support the Geroscience MACE core and the Lipidomics and Metabolomics mass spectrometry facility in bioinformatics. The successful candidate will support faculty with experimental setup and data analysis, helping advance the department’s projects. Prior experience with bioinformatics facility support and multi-omics data analysis is sought. The position is subject to renewal based on availability of funds and hiring is contingent upon a background check.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Biology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry, or Microbiology with a computational focus; Computer Science with a biological focus; or a related discipline.
• Prior experience with bioinformatics facility support.
• Prior experience with multi-omics data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support bioinformatics for the Geroscience MACE core and the Lipidomics and Metabolomics mass spectrometry facility.
• Support faculty in experimental setup.
• Support faculty in data analysis.
