Eagle Health Analytics (EHA) has contracted with CDC’s Mycotic Diseases Branch to provide scientific support and services for laboratory, communication, and epidemiology. The objective is to support the branch in detecting and responding to mycotic diseases and providing technical assistance to U.S. jurisdictions. EHA will provide one Bioinformatics Specialist I to support WGS, metagenomics, outbreak investigations, applied research, pipeline/toolchain execution, database support, QA/QC, and analysis summaries. The bioinformatics approach is designed to be reproducible, documented, and compatible with CDC computing environments. EHA will coordinate bioinformatics outputs with epidemiology and laboratory staff through a weekly analytic queue review, or a more frequent cadence during outbreak response. This review will identify datasets received, datasets pending QA/QC, analyses completed, issues requiring CDC direction, and outputs ready for surveillance reports, outbreak briefings, manuscripts, or partner communication.
