About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Floor Supervisor, the Bingo Floorworker is a highly visible position that requires a high degree of customer service, speed, and knowledge of Bingo. Floor Workers are assigned to the Bingo floor to sell and collect gaming items, announce serial numbers of potential Bingos on the floor, and provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. This role involves greeting customers, informing them of game details and facility locations, selling Bingo paper, verifying wins and providing prize payouts, counting and reconciling supplies and bank funds, assisting customers with game procedures, and ensuring the integrity of the games. The position also requires assisting with nightly clean-up, attending meetings and trainings, and maintaining consistent attendance and strict confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • One year related cash handling experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Ability to perform operations using units of American money.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to submit supporting documents of education and training (High School Diploma, GED, Degree and Certificates) to support qualifications.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in good standing according to the licensing rules and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work safely and prevent personal injury.
  • Commitment to the safety of fellow employees and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of Bingo operations at all times and in all activities.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all internal and external customers of Shoshone-Bannock Gaming.
  • Greets customers in a friendly manner, is courteous, and informs customers of games, restroom locations, and all fire exits.
  • Responsible for the sale of Bingo paper within an assigned area on the Bingo floor and assisting Bingo patrons.
  • Verifies wins and provides prize payouts on winning Bingo cards by contacting the appropriate backup personnel.
  • Counts and signs for supplies issued, before and after selling period, to ensure the correct amounts are received.
  • Reconciles imprest system banks and paper sales at the end of nightly sessions.
  • Assists customers in the proper process of playing, ensures customers are playing the correct Bingo sheets, and electronic Bingo device corresponds with current games being played.
  • Verifies guests’ receipts to ensure purchase of entry pack for specific session and date.
  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable Tribal, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and Shoshone Bannock Gaming policies and procedures.
  • Assists with nightly clean-up within the Bingo Hall after each session.
  • Attends all meetings and trainings as directed by Supervisor and /or Bingo Director.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Must be able to work both independently and dependently as a member of a team.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of all information processed through the department.
