About The Position

Outreach is hiring a Bindery Operator for its production team. The role operates finishing equipment to turn printed materials into finished books and other products that support churches and ministries. Training is provided on Outreach’s specific equipment; experience with every listed machine is not required. Applicants with commercial printing or finishing equipment experience are encouraged to apply, including those with less than the preferred three years of experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience operating commercial printing, bindery, or finishing equipment.
Ability to follow job tickets and written production instructions.
Attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Dependable attendance, teamwork, and commitment to workplace safety.

Nice To Haves

Three or more years of print finishing or bindery experience.
Experience producing perfect-bound books.
Experience with Horizon BQ470 or Challenger CMT130 equipment; helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate finishing equipment, including cutters, folders, stitchers, binders, and laminators.
Follow job tickets to complete orders accurately and on schedule.
Inspect finished products for quality and make adjustments as needed.
Perform routine equipment care and basic troubleshooting, and report problems requiring repair support.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Monitor finishing supplies and notify the team when replenishment is needed.
Coordinate with other production team members to keep jobs moving smoothly.
Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production deadlines.
