About The Position

Modern Litho is a local, family-owned printing company with over 85 years of experience in commercial printing. The Bindery Operator supports manufacturing and finishing operations, including bindery and wide format production. The role involves hands-on operation of printing, finishing, and post-production equipment to produce items such as banners, decals, posters, and signage. It is a fast-paced, detail-driven position requiring mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and pride in producing quality work.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age to operate equipment.
Have strong attention to detail and a quality-minded approach.
Be able to read and understand job tickets and production instructions.
Have mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate strong attendance, work ethic, and reliability.
Be willing to work overtime when needed.
Have basic computer skills for data entry and job tracking.
Be able to lift 50–60 lbs and perform pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, and standing for the duration of the shift.

Previous experience operating machinery; training is available for motivated candidates.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate bindery, finishing, and wide format equipment according to job specifications.
Stitch, punch, coil, cut, glue, laminate, mount, and grommet materials.
Follow job tickets and written instructions to meet customer requirements.
Perform routine cleaning, basic preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Enter time and material data into production tracking systems.
Maintain image quality, color accuracy, and overall production standards.
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines.
Follow standard work practices and maintain a safe work environment.
