About The Position

A major full-service direct mail printing company is seeking experienced Bindery Operators to join their growing production team. This facility produces a wide range of direct mail products including continuous forms, letters and replies, buck slips, postcards, envelopes, newsletters, and other direct mail inserts. The ideal candidate will have experience operating bindery equipment in a fast-paced printing environment and take pride in producing high-quality finished products while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.

Requirements

• Previous bindery or print finishing experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and move paper stock or materials throughout the shift

Nice To Haves

• Experience within direct mail, commercial printing, or high-volume production environments
• Familiarity with folders, cutters, stitchers, inserters, and mailing equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain bindery equipment including cutters, folders, gluers, inserters, stitchers, trimmers, and other finishing equipment
• Read and interpret job tickets and work orders to ensure jobs are completed accurately to customer specifications
• Monitor product quality throughout production runs to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Perform routine machine maintenance and make minor adjustments or repairs as needed
• Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to minimize downtime
• Maintain production schedules while reducing waste and maximizing efficiency
• Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are followed at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Assist with training or supervising bindery staff when needed
