About The Position

Allegra Marketing Print Mail in Plymouth, Michigan, is a full-service commercial printer serving local, regional, and national clients. We are looking for a Bindery Operator to join our growing team and embrace our core values: a passion for success, teamwork, respect, and integrity! If you thrive in a fast-paced production environment, have keen attention to detail, create estimates, communicate prices effectively, convert estimates into orders, create purchase orders, and schedule in coordination with the production team for commercial print, this position may be right for you.

Requirements

• Commercial Bindery experience preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours per shift)
• Frequent walking and movement throughout the production floor
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and stooping
• Manual dexterity to operate machinery, tools, and controls
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy
• Visual acuity to inspect printed materials for quality and defects
• Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts and equipment
• Must be able to communicate effectively in a production environment

• Familiarity with MBO continuous feed folders
• Familiarity with Stahl continuous feed folders
• Familiarity with Muller Martini saddle stitcher
• Familiarity with Polar cutters
• Familiarity with Heidelberg cylinder die cutters

Responsibilities

• Operate MBO pile feed folders
• Operate MBO continuous feed folders
• Operate Stahl continuous feed folders
• Operate Muller Martini saddle stitcher
• Operate Polar cutters
• Operate Heidelberg cylinder die cutters
• Conduct simple repairs to keep machines running
• Conduct maintenance to increase machine life
