About The Position
Lakeside Book Company is hiring a Bindery Operator 1 for its South Plant in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The role involves setting up, adjusting, and operating one piece of machinery while monitoring safety, quality, output, and productivity. Training is provided, including preparation for promotion into a Lead Operator position. The employee will learn to use tools to measure and adjust the machine to target levels and participate in preventative maintenance as required. The role works in a team environment and involves cross-training with others. The operator also assists the lead operator in providing guidance to crew members. Candidates who agree to cross-train and become qualified backups for lateral or progressive roles may receive preference. The starting rate is $22.00–$27.40. Work hours are 11 p.m.–7 a.m., with a 9 p.m.–7 a.m. schedule when overtime is worked. The company provides necessary tools and offers two weeks of vacation, training, and $100 reimbursements for safety shoes and safety glasses.
Requirements

Responsibilities
