About The Position

E-J is seeking a BIM Revit Specialist to join its Engineering team. The role uses Autodesk Revit to design and model electrical equipment, conduits, and support systems for prefabrication and installation. The specialist reviews schematics, plans, and models for compliance with electrical codes; supports contract review, 3D modeling, and production of prefabrication and installation drawings; and advocates for sound electrical practices in meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and other trades. The position also involves managing modeling efforts and supporting project staff to meet deliverables, while contributing to reporting, accountability, and documentation that improve Engineering performance and project profitability. E-J provides training in electrical-industry best practices and opportunities for career growth, training, and mentorship.

Requirements

3–10 years of experience in a related field or industry.
Excellent communication skills.
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
Electrical and construction knowledge, and eagerness to learn more.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic Autodesk product skills.
Highly motivated team player.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of and manage modeling efforts for project deliverables.
Schedule and oversee supporting project staff to meet project deliverables.
Apply the National Electrical Code, local building codes, and best practices to designs.
Model and design using Autodesk Revit to a high level of proficiency, and learn other software.
Assist the project team with contract review, 3D modeling, and production of prefabrication and installation drawings.
Attend meetings and advocate for best electrical practices and designs.
Participate in reporting, accountability, and documentation practices to improve Engineering performance and maximize project profitability.
