About The Position

The BIM Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of technically excellent, operationally efficient, and future-ready BIM services. The role combines leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of Henderson’s BIM framework to help teams produce high-quality work consistently. The BIM Manager leads and develops BIM staff, supports execution of the firm’s BIM strategy, and serves as a subject matter expert in Henderson’s workflows. The position provides advanced technical and project support, guides BIM standards and quality processes, coordinates with IT and other BIM/VDC teams, and tracks BIM performance metrics.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
10 or more years of relevant experience required.
Subject matter expertise in Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Navisworks required.
Demonstrated success implementing BIM standards and workflows.
Comprehensive knowledge in the relevant discipline and a track record of technical excellence.
Experience contributing to technically sound teams and the ability to motivate and coach others.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry technical needs and a proven track record of quality monitoring, maintenance, and improvement.
Demonstrated ability to mobilize company technical strategies through project execution.
Proficiency in all core competencies described in the job description.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in engineering, construction management, science, or BIM/drafting technology.
A minimum of 2 years of leadership or management experience.
Advanced experience with BIM-related tools such as Dynamo, Python, PyRevit, Clarity, and Content Catalog.

Responsibilities

Mentor and train BIM Technicians, Specialists, and Leads in technical mastery, coordination, and leadership.
Manage BIM staff by setting expectations, delegating responsibilities, and aligning work with project and organizational goals.
Deliver training on BIM tools, workflows, and best practices, while fostering continuous learning, innovation, and inclusion.
Partner with the BIM Technical Director to execute the firm’s BIM strategic vision in alignment with operational, quality, and technology objectives.
Serve as a subject matter expert in Henderson’s workflows and ensure their correct application in project delivery.
Provide feedback to Sector leadership to inform technical strategies.
Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of BIM standards, templates, and workflows consistent with industry best practices and ISO 19650.
Provide advanced technical support to BIM Leads and project teams for setup, execution, QA/QC, and coordination of BIM deliverables.
Collaborate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to define and interpret BIM Execution Plans aligned with client requirements and contractual obligations.
Promote consistent use of support queues and BIM toolkits across assigned sectors.
Collaborate with Technicians and Specialists to develop and maintain Revit families, content libraries, and automation tools.
Oversee quality control reviews to ensure models meet internal standards, client expectations, and coordination requirements.
Drive compliance with company workflows and adherence to BIM milestone responsibilities.
Coordinate with IT and other BIM/VDC teams to support the operation of BIM-related software, cloud services, and network systems.
Track and report BIM performance metrics, including FTE utilization, KPIs, and process efficiency gains.
Perform other duties as assigned.
