About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a BIM Designer to join their Water Design team. This hybrid role, based in Columbus, OH, involves developing engineering drawings and models. The BIM Designer will prepare designs from general instructions, preliminary sketches, diagrams, or schematics provided by engineers. While the ability to perform engineering design is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement for this position.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of experience working in CAD and BIM.
Proficiency in both AutoCAD (2016 or newer) and Revit.
Strong knowledge of CAD and BIM standards.
Ability to work with facility MEP system drawings, asset hierarchies, and associated O&M documents.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Ability to perform own designs (Engineering).
Background in architecture, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
Experience working with remote teams.

Responsibilities

Updating and creating drawings for site development, grading, utility piping layouts, process mechanical plans, and construction details using AutoCAD and Revit.
Working closely with engineers and designers to generate accurate, high-quality engineering drawings from provided redlines or design schematics.
Producing floor plans, elevations, section cuts, and schedules in AutoCAD and Revit.
Maintaining site record drawings and ensuring work aligns with discipline-specific and company CAD/BIM standards.
Meeting project deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Managing workload throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Coordinating with local engineers and remote teams to ensure timely delivery of construction plans and related documents.
