About The Position

The BIM Coordinator supports restaurant design projects by coordinating design technology processes and maintaining model quality across disciplines. The role serves as a liaison between design teams and discipline leads, clarifies project standards and expectations, and ensures adherence to established standards, guidelines, and protocols. Responsibilities include reviewing and sorting interference conditions, tracking clash resolution, conducting model and data checks, managing model exchanges, and supporting model health and file management. The position offers flexibility to work remotely, from home, or from an office location.

Requirements

• A good understanding of construction methods to develop consistent and thorough models, create content libraries, and manage overall model health.
• A degree in Engineering or Architecture, or specialized BIM certifications.
• Experience in BIM modelling, drafting, and coordination.
• Working knowledge of Revit for architectural design.
• Good knowledge of BIM processes and understanding of common building components and assembly.
• Security clearance with PSPC, RCMP, DND, and/or other authorities may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro experience is an asset.
• CANBIM certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between design teams and discipline leads, clarifying project standards and expectations.
• Implement design technology processes and ensure adherence to standards, guidelines, and protocols.
• Perform, review, and sort interference conditions for all disciplines on selected projects, and track clash resolution using tracking tools.
• Conduct data checks for incomplete parameters, missing type marks, and mismatched phase filters.
• Perform coordination tasks including model auditing and maintenance, reviewing errors and warnings, identifying duplicated elements, ensuring data integrity, troubleshooting models, and managing BIM Collaborate Pro files.
• Coordinate model exchanges regularly and ensure updated models are published or uploaded in time for coordination meetings.
